Some tubers are really annoying. They indiscriminately send out inappropriate "friend" invites so that they can spam one's inbox with their videos. It is fine if genuine friends send appropriate videos, but I find arrogant, self-advertisers irritating.
I am collecting their channel identities and I block them all. Not all of these are necessarily self-promoters, but I am too busy to take chances with being bombarded with unsolicited videos.
These are easy to spot. They have flashy channels with "musician", "guru", etc marked. They also have a hugely disproportionate number of friends to subscriptions and subscribers. They often have partner status, so they are in this for the money and don't care whom they bug.

Quick and easy to block them all, but they'll probably vanish soon, only to be replaced by equally unimaginative channel names. The grey channels are already suspended. It turns out that YT has software that removes channels that are repeatedly flagged as "spam". That "link" does eventually work.
Needless to say, YouTube does not have another quick and easy way for tubers to report spammers. This is probably just as well because all the bigotted flag freaks, creationists, and nastier fundies would be reporting legitimate channels as spam. As it is, those creeps will report comments with unwelcome content (like polite statements of facts) as spam, rather than merely voting it down.
