Fascinating show of outrage, organization, and co-operation – followed by capitulation of the twits who are mis-managing YT.
1. YT ensured that it was virtually impossible for users to contact YT.
... sometime later ...
2. Creationists, in a typical display of puny-brained cheating, started to use website votebot services to vote down videos with unwelcome messages. (Yes, many religionists belong in kindergarten.)
3. Thunderf00t, frustrated with YT's unresponsiveness to complaints about votebots, uploads a video suggesting two routes by which the non-creationist community might request action against votebots and protest YT's inaccessibility.
4. YT puts Thunderf00t on an unwarranted two-week channel inactivation, and removes the "offending" video. So much for YT's own published guidelines about free speech!
5. The removed video is uploaded to a file sharing site and the url is provided to outraged tubers.
6a. Roughly 300 mirror copies of the removed video are uploaded. Tens of thousands across the world watch the re-upload.
6b. Outraged tubers write to YT's advertising department - the only route of direct communication to which YT pays any attention.
6c. Outraged tubers comment on the community forum, post comments on uploaded videos, post comments on blogs, and make comments in the "more info" sections of mirror uploads.

6d. Hundreds join an off-site message board.
7. Perhaps realizing that the video-producing, video-viewing source of YT revenues ought to be treated with a little more respect (read, profit-threatened fear), management re-instated Thunderf00t's channel privileges.

It is exceedingly frustrating and infuriating that YT has deliberately made it nearly impossible to contact them. YT has been adept at employing the irresponsible proverbial *run-around*. Let's hope no more.
It is encouraging that viable YT contact information was obtained and shared with many viewers who then took the initative to speak their minds on the subject of YT mis-management and unfair practices.
Thunderf00t's case is quite encouraging. It is a positive illustration of how viewers worked collectively to effectively combat YT's unresponsiveness to a very concerning practice.
Likewise, inappropriate homophobic flagging must not be tolerated or validated by YT. Hate speech must not be tolerated. YT police employ little rhyme or reason when making *violation* decisions. Glaring inconsistencies abound, and certain content which does not violate user guidelines continues to be targeted and inappropriately flagged off.
YT has an obligation to open it's blind eye and appropriately employ it's published guidelines. We the viewers must remind YT of this.
Viewers/video creators are the financial impetus which fuels YT. YT, in all it's foolishness, does appear to understand and respond to this.
It is important to not allow YT to continue it's history of mis-management. I encourage contacting YT with concerns, boycotting WMG for it's greedy practices and speaking up for proper/appropriate employment of YT's published guidelines.
I expect that YT will adopt the married-couple strategy. Let's pretend that we didn't have a fight and maybe it will all blow over.
I think/hope that they have misjudged the mood of disgruntled tubers.
There are many tubers who are irritated by more than votebotting by STUPID YT-creationist-video-makers (is there any other kind?).
Note that caps make it correct! A little trick that I learned from IDiots.
True, I certainly know that I am irritated with YT for a variety of reasons. (Particularly how it targets and frequently removes non-porn love based lesbian content videos and lesbian oriented YT channels).
I think it's very important for tubers to keep the pressure on YT. YT needs to see that a *head in the sand* response to valid user concerns is NOT an acceptable response. (I had to throw in the CAPS)
Ultimately it's in YT's interest to listen to it's users.
